My former employer's website. I was put in charge of helping design the company logo and mascot, creating the design and functioning website, and integrating social media. The website relies heavily upon jQuery scripts to provide interactivity and pull RSS feeds. Search engine optimization was a must.

I had a major role in designing the logo and website, along with writing the XHTML and CSS and adding jQuery functionality to the website. A Content Management System was also created to manage movies and provide data on the frequency each movie was watched. I helped design and implement the CMS, working closely with PHP and Flash developers.

This was my first portfolio "website" I created in 2008. This site was created entirely using Flash dynamically loading XML variables and images. The Flash files produced were also used to create Mac/ PC compatible CD's containing my portfolio.

This project was an e-learning piece boasting several fully animated dinosaurs, each animation being chosen randomly through Actionscript. The user is given facts about each dinosaur which they use in a scored quiz afterward, where they are rewarded with a outline of their favorite dinosaur to print and color.

This is an illustration of a little cockatiel named Rex. The purpose of the illustration was to provide a online demonstration on some of the basics of Illustrator. The demonstration taught the use of layers, the pen tools, gradient tools, and best practices when saving web optimized images. This illustration took approximately 6 hours of work.

I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and I currently live just west of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor´s Degree in Interactive Multimedia Design. During my schooling, I learned all about web design and web standards, aesthetics, and logic, honing my skills in programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and Director.
I enjoy spending time cooking and eating ( I love bbq ribs! ), cinematic adventures, tons of snow (but not the cold), Frisbee, Summer weather, hanging out with close friends and loved ones, Transformers™ action figures, excercising at the gym, sweat iced tea, and I am never opposed to playing a video game in my downtime.
I dislike disorganization and lack of planning, dishonesty, traffic, laptop batteries (they only seem to last an hour), and Indian curry.
